A Sad Day for the Road Victims’ Community – RoadPeace to Close Its Operations
13/01/2026On Sunday, 15 November 2026, the World Day of Remembrance for Road Traffic Victims (WDoR) will once again bring together victims, bereaved families, organisations and communities around the world in remembrance of those whose lives were lost or forever changed by road traffic crashes.
Thanks to the perseverance and selfless dedication of Brigitte Chaudhry, through RoadPeace and FEVR, the voices of road traffic victims and their families gained international recognition, ultimately leading to the official recognition of the World Day of Remembrance for Road Traffic Victims (WDoR).
Three organisations united by one message
In recent years, the three Federations and Partnerships – FEVR, IRVP and FICVI – have united to amplify the global voice of road victims and their bereaved families under the shared message:
REMEMBER. SUPPORT. ACT.
As part of this cooperation, the organisations agreed to take turns preparing the annual WDoR campaign.
This year, the campaign has been prepared by FICVI, under the theme:
A LIGHT THAT UNITES US
Campaign materials available – join us!
All campaign materials are available here:
FEVR warmly invites all member organisations, partners and supporters to share these materials within their communities and connect cities, towns, organisations, kindergartens, schools, colleagues, friends and families.
All campaign materials can be personalised with your organisation’s logos, ribbons and translations into your own language.
Together, we can spread the message of remembrance, support and action as widely as possible.

Together, we live Vision Zero
As Slovenian road safety ambassador Marijana Kračun reminds us:
“Yesterday, a road traffic crash happened to them. Today, it happened to us. And we do not want it to happen to you tomorrow.”
FEVR President Robert Štaba expresses his sincere gratitude to everyone who continues to bring this shared mission to road users and to decision-makers responsible for creating a safer road transport system.
Together, we remain committed to our common goal.
Because we, too, live Vision Zero.
