A Living Memorial and Learning Center
Created in memory of road traffic victims and as a reminder to future generations, the Safe Mobility Park is where knowledge, safety, and compassion intersect with the goal of achieving Vision Zero.
The Park is the result of a public-private partnership between the Safe Journey Institute and the City of Ljubljana, with Riko d.o.o. donating the main building. With this project, Ljubljana and Slovenia join world and European capitals that prioritize safety, solidarity, and sustainability, building a safer future for all through innovative solutions.
FEVR Working Meeting
Following the opening ceremony, FEVR members are gathering in Ljubljana for a two-day working meeting, reinforcing the international collaboration in road safety advocacy.
The Safe Mobility Park represents a learning, experiential, and support center: a place where victims’ voices receive dignified space, and their knowledge, combined with our programs, becomes solutions for safer and more sustainable mobility.
Construction began in November 2024, with the official opening taking place on September 19, 2025, as part of European Mobility Week.
