May 19th European Federation of Road Traffic Victims was invited to present the views on Directive concerning consequences of road traffic offenses and medical fitness in the Road Safety Unit of the European Comission. On behalf of FEVR Katarzyna Dobrzańska-Junco delivered a presentation on Mutual recognition of driving disqualifications from the perspective of road traffic victims alongside the problems encountered in addition to the relevant solutions. The Call for Action has been made within execution of disqualifications within all EU countries, laws concerning recidivists, PPS, drivers not fit to drive and rehabilitation – effective trainings for drivers. All of that to avoid any more offences, make clear and strong law and justice for Victims and the most important – prevent any more tragedies on roads. The presentation was also followed by an important testimony of Victim, Mrs. Maeve Kelly.FEVR called also for action now and establishment of platforms for best practices in EU.
